Start with a plan you can adjust
Choose a saved routine to give your session a starting structure. A routine describes the plan; the active workout is where you record the work you complete.
If equipment is occupied, a saved exercise alternative can help you continue. Review the exercise and its sets after making a change rather than treating every movement as interchangeable.
Record each set while it is fresh
Weights and repetitions are easier to review when they reflect the session rather than a guess made later. Zekt keeps the current set in focus and lets you follow the rest timer between sets.
- Check the active exercise and the set you are about to record.
- Enter the weight and repetitions that match your completed set.
- Mark the set complete and use the rest timer when useful.
- Continue through the session, adjusting the plan when necessary.
Example: the bench is occupied
Suppose your saved routine includes a bench press and you have already saved an appropriate alternative. You can select that alternative during the workout and continue recording the session. The value of the log is keeping an accurate record of the exercise you performed.
The app helps organize the session; choosing suitable exercises and loads remains your decision. Zekt does not provide medical advice.
Review the session, not just the total
After completing a workout, use session history to look back at exercises, recorded sets and notes. Exercise history gives you another way to revisit previous work before deciding how to approach a later session.
A training record provides context. It does not by itself prove that a change in load or volume is appropriate for you.
Does workout logging require an account?
No. Zekt stores training records on your iPhone and works without a Zekt account. It also backs them up automatically to your private iCloud after each workout and once a day, and offers to restore them when you install Zekt on a new iPhone. A manual export gives you an extra copy.
